English as a Second Language

The Montvale Public Library seeks energetic
individuals to join our team of Literacy
Volunteers of Pascack Valley.

There are many adults in Montvale who need
one-on-one practice in learning to speak and understand English.

All volunteers are trained at either the Westwood or Paramus Public Library; training is free to Montvale volunteers.  Workshops are being offered online at this time.   ESL tutors must attend the training sessions before being
matched with a student. The tutor is then responsible for creating a learning experience based on the needs of his/her student.

This is an excellent opportunity for any adult
seeking to help other individuals help
themselves. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Therese Jones at Therese.Jones@montvale.bccls.org or

call (201) 391-5090.
